Easter Egg Hunts Around Town

Elmwood Cemetery Egg Hunt–It’s time to hunt for eggs! Join us on Saturday, April 2nd for an Easter Egg Hunt at Elmwood Cemetery. This event is open to children ages 2 through 9. Bring a basket or bag and prepare to find candy-filled eggs. The cost to participate is $5 per child. Registration is required. Parents are free. This event will begin at 9:00 am on the dot. Parents, please be early so you can find a parking place. This event is all outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, we will hold the egg hunt on Saturday, April 9th at 9:00 am. Royal Easter Egg Hunt–Join the Ice Queen, the Frog Prince & Princess, the Miracle Princes, Rapunzel, and the Ruffian Prince for a magical Easter egg hunt on April 16th! There will be live performances, games, an egg hunt, dancing, singing, and the chance to win at 30 minute Character Playdate valued at $100.00! Cost is $25 per kid and adults are free! Family Egg Hunt at Memphis Botanic Garden–A re-hatch-ed Family Egg Hunt returns to the Garden this spring after a two-year hiatus on April 16th. For the kiddos, a self-guided Bunny Trail allows for everyone to win as they hippity-hop through the Garden to Bunny Stops to learn, create, and collect treats along the way. Attendees will also enjoy our epic family favorite 96-acre hunt for 50 “golden” eggs filled with fantastic prizes. Plus attendees can grab a picnic from one of the food trucks on-site and enjoy the Garden in full bloom! All attendees over the age of two, including adults, need a ticket to enter. $10 MBG Members/$12 Non-Members/$15 at the door. Tickets for this event can be found here.

Egg Hunt and Easter Bonnet Contest–Don’t miss the annual Bartlett Parks & Recreation Department’s Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bonnet Decorating Contest for children at Freeman Park. The festivities will take place on Saturday, April 9 starting with the Easter Bonnet Contest judging at 9:30am. Bonnets will be judged on creativity, originality and visual appeal in the following age categories: 3 and under; 4 and 5; 6 and 7; 8 to 10. The egg hunt, for children 10 and under, will begin at 10:00am. The Easter Bunny has once again promised to come and start the hunt as well as stick around to have his picture made with all the children. This is a free event and requires no ticket purchase.

Egg Hunts at Cedar Hill Farm– Cedar Hill Farm is excited to host our annual Easter Egg Hunts this Spring. Families from all over the Mid-South enjoy a full day at the farm with egg hunts, pony rides, petting the animals, and getting their pictures made with the Easter Bunny. Easter Eggstravaganza hosted by Memphis Parks–Meet the Easter Bunny, decorate Easter eggs, play games, and enjoy food and friends at your parks! Douglass Park Friday, April 15, 2-5 pm, Saturday, April 16, 11 am -3 pm  Pine Hill Park Saturday, April 16 11 am -3 pm Willow Park Saturday, April 16 11 am -3 pm. These are free events, no need to register.

Egg My Yard Fundraiser–Register today at the link below and wake up to a surprise this Easter morning for the WHOLE family! A team from Legacy Church will arrive on your property Saturday, April, 16th, between sundown and late evening to hide your eggs. We will hide the eggs in the front yard unless requested a porch drop off…25 eggs are $20, 50 eggs are $30, and 100 eggs are $50. To request, please visit the Egg my Yard reservation form. Form will close April 10th.

Easter Brunch at the Peabody– Celebrate Easter at the “South’s Grand Hotel” with an Easter Brunch served in high style in the Grand Ballroom. This lavish meal features appetizers, salads, Easter-style entrées, side dishes, and desserts. 11AM -3PM $95 per adult, plus tax and service charge $36 per child, plus tax and service charge, ages 5-12. Easter-themed Cookie and Cake Decorating Classes

Muddy’s Bake Shop Cookie Class– Cookies & colors will be Easter themed for this weekend’s festivities! Available dates are April 15th and 16th. Like art studio drop in spots, the idea is to provide a fun opportunity to flex your creative muscles and try out a new “craft” without needing to make an investment in specialty tools, etc. Have fun and let your inner creative loose! Frost Bake Shop Cake Decorating Class– This Easter-themed course is an introduction to the basic art of frosting and decorating a cake and will take place April 14th at 6pm. Topics include familiarization with cake decorating tools, bags, tips and an exploration into different styles of cakes. We will demonstrate how to properly torte, fill, and frost a cake. Students will practice basic border techniques and decorative piping. The techniques learned will be used to finish a 8″ layer cake that each student takes home. Cost is $75 plus applicable tax.
